18 months

What!!!!!
Can someone please stop the time?

Tavin is 18 months and it is so awesome but breaks my heart at the same time because he is not my little tinny baby anymore.
Look at this sweet little baby. He was even considered a big baby at 8.9 pounds and 21 inches.

Now he is a toddler. A big boy. Its so bittersweet.

Tavin at 18 months:

He loves his shoes. When he wakes up we change his diaper then he grabs his shoes and follows me saying "sho sho sho" until I put them on him. So funny.

He likes to sleep in his slippers because he hates not having shoes on. He either has his stride rights or his slippers on. Right now he has one slipper on and who knows where the other one is.

Tavin will move and stack all of Tyler's protein powders. He lifts them all out of the pantry and into the backyard or where ever and plays with them like blocks.

He is weaning from nursing which is just has hard for me as it is for him. He will say "boobie" and point to my chest which is weird I have no clue how he learned that word but its sweet and I always say "boobie all gone" and he shacks his head no with the saddest look in his eyes. Some moms have a hard time getting their children to nurse and I cant get mine to stop. I said I would nurse till 18 months and here we are. I am glad I had the chance to do so and have this option for my son.

He has 14 teeth, and has had no problems with teething at all not sure if it is the necklace but he is doing great

When you kiss him he asks for "moor" or more. He says it so cute like a little french boy.

Talks a bunch says... Dixie, Little Lo, Hi, Hello, Balloon, Fish, Apple (Appie), Cheese, Cookie, Mommy, Boobie, Daddy, Eye, Nose, Ball, Bird, Tree and the list goes on.

He will point out all of your face features, eye, nose, teeth, ear, lips, tongue.

Loves to read, brings a book over about every ten minutes and we will reread every book 5 times a day.

Sleeps so great.

We are working on sharing and playing with others

Loves dance and music. He admires watching others play an instrument

Puts any money he finds or gets straight in his piggy bank and loves doing it.

Throws anything he can get his hands on. Hopefully he can be a little pitcher one day he is a great thrower.

Likes the slide and swings so much at the park it is hard to ever leave.

Loves loves loves dogs. I am so happy he is an animal lover.
Tavin is so fun at this age and is such a joy everyday just gets better and I love him so much

Easter

We have had a great Easter so far. Tavin is having a blast. Here he is putting all his change into his piggy bank.
He is a little spoiled but thats ok because he is a great kid, he got his own set of keys and the first thing he did was went to the door to unlock it.
Look at this excitement. He saw some scooters at the park that he loved and played on so now he has his own. He is actually pretty great with it.
Finding the eggs. He got about 15 before he was over the whole thing.
Checking out his stuff. He ran over and just stood and looked, and looked. and looked, before grabbing his new slippers and chalk.
The easter bunny brought him tuns of bubbles, new slippers, a scooter, bath toys, some handy dishes, a C.D., some balls and chalk .
Really great bubble toy
After our egg hunt we went next door for a brunch with the neighborhood. I love our neighbors so much.
Here is Jordan at the pancake station cooking us what ever kind of pancakes we wanted.
Now we are off to church and then to eat at my favorite little restaurant. I am so grateful to have such a blessed family, friends and neighbors. I love Easter.

Happy Easter!!!!

Dodgers

We are HUGE DODGER FANS!!!
Baseball is by far the most watched and attended sport in this house. The Dodgers opened the season up here in San Diego. If you ever go to a Dodgers game in San Diego the stadium is more like Dodger stadium then it is the Padres because everyone from LA is here and they have loyal fans. We like to go to LA for the games also and will be planning a trip this summer.

Grandma Glenda got Tavin this shirt for Easter and it is so true.
My little Dodger. Tavin loves throwing the ball right now and we of course hope he loves baseball as much as we do.
Colored bubbles from Grandma. I would not recommend these bubbles they are messy and really are not that cool.
I am so proud of my Dodgers they have won all 3 games so far:) Yeay!!!!

Oranges

We have a great Orange tree in our backyard and we finally decided to harvest it. I have never done this before so I had no clue how much work it is.

Tavin was my helper. After the oranges were knocked off the tree by Grandpa he would put them in the water to start cleaning. We then cut them and squeezed them for Orange juice. We got so much juice we gave some to all the neighbors and my boss. Plus kept some for ourselves.

Do you see this old fashion juicer. It is pretty fun.
We are still enjoying our orange juice and just finished planting our summer garden:)
I love eating and drinking our home grown foods.

Running Rebels, Vegas, March

March flew by us. It was a nice relaxing month we were not super busy like we will be for April and the rest of summer.
Although the Rebels did not do that great in the NCAA Tournament Tavin still looked like a doll in his rebel gear.
For Spring break we went to Vegas to see our family It was so great to see my Friends and Family. I only got a few pictures of my dad. I threw my best friend a baby shower it was a blast but all the photos are on my moms camera.
My dad babysat and had a blast with Tavin. Tavin was so worn out and napped so great after, I loved it.
Go Rebels!!!!
