ARGH

11 Months

Where has the time gone?
(I don't know why his face is blurry)

My little guy is going to be a year on October 13th.....
At 11 months:

Tavin is walking everywhere
He says "HI" "Mama" "Dada" "Ott Oh"
He loves his mom, does not want me to leave his sight
Is eating almost everything
The best shopper
Not sure how long or how much he weighs we go next month
He hugs his stuffed animals all the time
Loves to snuggle his blankets
Rubs his eyes when he is tired
Smiles all the time
Has 6 teeth so far but is on his way to more
Gives great hugs
Swims one time a week and goes to gymboree
Loves sea world
Wearing 12 month clothes
Still loves to nurse, will pull down anyones top to see if they have milk
Such a ham, will go from crying to smiling if you hold up a camera
Not super social, would rather not be around a whole bunch of babies. It takes him a few minutes to warm up to his environment.
Loves "Peek a boo"
Loves doing "So Big"
So curious about everything
Loves the cell phone and remotes
He is so tall and lean
He walks funny when I put shoes on him
He is the best child ever, I am so lucky to be his mommy.

I cant believe how fast time goes, I miss when he use to get a bottle how excited he would get. I always want him to just stay the age he is but each day gets better all the time.

Beaver

I know I have been slacking big time on updating my blog. I am a busy lady.

Well for Labor Day we headed up to Beaver, Utah. Tylers family has a house there and so we took a road trip. We stopped in Vegas on our way and picked up Zane and Luke. I was so thrilled that they were able to join us. My dad let me take his Expedition for more room and we headed up. Tyler, Zane, Byron and there buddies went to a concert in St George then met us in Beaver after.
Luke, Tavin, Lisa and I enjoyed spending time together. We bought some water guns board games cards and gave each other fake tattoos. I loved my time with Luke it was so needed and precious to me. I miss him all the time. I hate how much him and Zane have grown and I just wish they could live here with me.

Tavin exploring
My Babies
My mom and Stepdad came up from their property in Cedar and went to the lake with us one day. We just hung out, had a BBQ, made smores, shopped and relaxed.
All our buddies who joined us. Minus my mom and Harry
Before we left for home Zane and Luke got there hands dipped in wax. It was a really cool candle shop they had and it was a neat process.
We headed back to Vegas, I was driving with Tyler, Zane, Luke, Tavin, and my two dogs when " POP!!!!" My tire blow. It was kind of scary and I felt horrible because it was my dads car, but he is always so understanding and did not care.We put our spare on, with the help of a very nice man that stopped to help us, and found out our spare was extremely flat. Well we drove for 15 miles to a gas station that come to find out did not have an air pump. Then another 15 miles later we found hope in a gas station that had air. It was an adventure.

I had such a blast with all my family.

Power outage

What a disaster.
I meet Tyler at the community college after I teach a lesson on tuesdays and thursdays. I was trying to call him to see where he was parking and no luck. I get on the freeway and bam, no movement anywhere for miles. I mean we are in gridlock at a complete standstill.

The radio informs me that there is a "Rolling Blackout that is effecting, Temecula, all of San Diego county, some of Mexico and Arizona" What this is crazy, I think, "its not that big of a deal just no power." Wrong was I! A huge deal. No one knows how to drive when the lights are out. I saw several accidents and the only thing going through my head is where are Tyler and Tavin.

Finally we get through to each other for a minute and we have decided to meet at home but Tyler is stuck at a park because traffic is so bad. The Mayor comes onto the radio and advises everyone to stay off the roads. (Thats helpful considering every single resident is on the road trying to get home from work since the power blew). People were stuck in elevators trying to get oxygen, in trollies and on rides at sea world
. It was a mess. It took me 3 hours to make my way through the mess and get home. I saw 3 people put into body bags which horrifies me and brought me to tears. I heard the Mayor tell us "to activate our family emergency plans," I did this as soon as I got home.

About 5 minutes after I got home, praying and hoping Tyler would be home soon I heard the backyard gate open and could not have been happier to see my two boys. I was honestly horrified at what was taking place and so happy to be with them. We then grabbed a bottle of wine and went to our neighbors. We sat in the front yard eating all the food that was going to go bad in the fridge and talked, as we listened to updates from the radio.

Well Since I live in a beach town, most every house was open for a party. It was funny watching every one go back and forth from house to house just having a good time in the dark. I went home and to bed. I honestly hope there is never and earthquake here because people just could not handle it.

I am thankful for our SDG&E company to getting the power back on by 2A.M. this morning and for all their hard work all day and night. I am thankful to those who drove carefully and stayed calm. I am proud that most got home safely and am hurting for those who didn't The power outage could have not happened at a worst time. We have been having such hot weather here.
