Mermaid Convention 2011

Tavin and I took part in the first ever national mermaid convention. Well it was defiantly a different kind of experience but we had a blast.

Tavin was featured in 3 different news papers, many blogs and the Las Vegas news. Click here,Mercon, to see a small clip.

If you google Tavin goetting many things come up.

I cant believe how much fun we had. Tavin won the pageant and stole many hearts. We were there forever having people take pictures with him.

At night Tavin went home with his Olma and I went to a pool party.

We were being silly and just having a fun old time

I won 300 bucks that night:)

I will never forget watching everyone get out of their chairs to come to the stage and take a photo of him. I was so proud, Tyler and I could not stop smiling.

One Lady came up and told us that we make the cutest babies. I loved hearing that.

I left the Yogurt way to close to the edge of the table while I went to get dinner finished

Tavin got really quite, He usually talks a lot (No clue where he gets this from;)

Well Tavin got a hold of the yogurt and went for it. It was so fun to watch him, He had many different methods of getting the yogurt from the bowl to his mouth. In the process he got it all over him.

Today I am 24!!!

Tonight my wonderful boss is taking us all out to Filippes.

I love my co-workers, friends and family the day is perfect even though I have to work.

My son is a merman....

We are attending a Convention in Las Vegas, It is the first National Mermaid Convention, being held at the Silverton. Well My boss loves mermaids, so she called me up and asked me if she could enter Tavin in the Mermaid convention pageant. I said of course!!! So now we are going.

Happy Anniversary

Well July 19th was our 2 year Anniversary.

Tyler spoiled me, we went to a lou-out down the street from where we live. Tavin had a babysitter so it was just the 2 of us. We drank Mia-Ties and met the greatest couple ever.

They were from Alpine and come to find out he is the pastor at our sister church. I invited them to come to church with us Sunday and then Tyler and I were both shocked when our church knew who he was. They didn't even tell us.

I love my husband and couldn't have married a better man. Happy Anniversary.

(Tavin loves to swim with Mr. Matt, Matt is one of my favorite co-workers. Just thought i would throw this picture in)

Tavin took his first step all by himself with no walker or help on Thursday July 28th 2011.

I was so excited and so was he. He is still supper wobbly. We are excited for him to walk but we can also wait a while. He has done this about 5 different times and at one point he even took 2 steps. Wow times flys and its been so much fun watching him grow and change every single day.
