Christmas

Wow we are lucky.

2011 Christmas is our year.

We spent Christmas eve with Tyler's family which was awesome we got a new Nikon camera. Then Christmas day we went to church, my Dads and then my moms. Then we are off to Arizona to see Tyler's grandparents. Tavin made this Christmas so awesome.

We get to see The Lion king before it closes. This was a gift from my mom. I love shows. We also get to see Jerry Sienfield in San DIego and we got to see the Christmas play at the Coronado Play theatre. I love shows so I am thrilled.

Thanksgiving

I know we didn't post about our Thanksgiving trip to Las Vegas. It was awesome.

I came down early for a work conference. Tavin went to preschool with my mom, which he loved.

Tyler joined us a few days later. We went to Zumanity and had a great dinner with my Mom and family. We bought an old arcade Pac Man machine. Tavin got sick so it was hard but we enjoyed ourselves a bunch.

14 Months!!!!

Tavin was 14 months on December 13th. I know I am late but I have to write down all things Tavin because there is so much I don't want to forget.

He hates Santa and I have the photos to prove it

He says... "Hi Dixie" "Mama" "Dada" "Hi" "There it is" "Uh oh"

Gives Knuckles along with High fives

Signs... More, Milk, Please, Eat, Water, Thank you

Has no interest in TV (Which I like)

Love Christmas lights

Loves cars, and balls

Runs every where

Love the slide more then anything

Has so much fun with dogs

Hugs his friends all the time

Loves to give kisses

Kisses himself when he sees himself in photos

Loves the remote and cell phones

Loves to ride his horse and rocking horse

Is usually happy

Dances when he hears music

Loves food mostly animal crackers

Has 12 teeth, he popped 4 molars in one night

I have no clue how tall or how much he ways but he is so freaking cute

He holds the title of Merbaby International and was baby Jesus in our church Christmas movie

Sleeps like an angel from 8-6 then nurses and back down till 9

Naps for 2-3 hours a day

There is so much I want to remember but mostly he is adorable, happy, and has his mommy and daddy around his little finger. We love you Tavin and couldn't be happier.

Things Tavin

A few things Tavin has been doing lately.

He tries to wear my shoes. I thought it was hilarious watching him try to walk with his foot poking through. I got a few photos.

See how his leg is? He is trying so hard.

Tavin loves the dogs water bowl. He always dashes to it when we go outside. The other day I was right in the middle of a call (I work from home) I look over and he is playing in the bowl. I think "Ill just change his wet clothes, no biggy" He then proceeds to try and drink the water, like the dogs. I know gross. But hysterical.

He has tried to do this a few times now. I think he is smart for mimicking the dogs and understanding that this is how they get their water. Never the less no more dog bowl for Tavin.

He hugs his friends when they cry. Adorable.

He puts his toys in between the door and the shutters. I am always seeing new toys when I walk into our room.

I want him to stop growing so fast.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween, Tavin has been festive all week in his little Halloween outfits.

This shirt is my favorite because I am a huge fan of Ghost Busters

We carved our Pumpkins on Sunday, It has been pretty warm here and we didn't want them to mold.

Mine is the "Tavin" pumpkin. I am so in love with my son. Tyler's is the ghost one.

Tavin and Marshall. Marshall joined us for a trick or treat adventure. Wow it is a lot of work to take them around. Tavin was totally hamming it up and all our neighbors spoiled him. We have great neighbors.

He kept looking in the mirror, I felt like he was thinking "why is there a monkey in the room?"

Its so hard to get a picture of a child who wont sit still so here are my best efforts.

Finally at the very end of the night he figured out how to pull his cap off. I had a great Halloween with my little man. I am excited for next year.

Hudson Jeans

I got to meet Ben Taverniti, he is the designer for Hudson Jeans. I also won this whole outfit from Nordstroms. I got to talk to Ben for a while. He is the most amazing guy ever. We actually got to hang out. I thought it was going to be nuts but things settled down and we chatted for a while. He told me at the end that he was so glad it was me who won. He was truly amazing I am so glad I got this experience and wanted to share it with everyone.

Underwater Photos

All who know me know I am a water bug. So is my son

I wouldn't have it any other way. Children can know how to swim at a young age.

The number one cause of death for kids under 5 is drowning. Really? its so preventable.

I hate seeing kids who cant swim. Its my profession so I am very passionate about it.

Check up

Here is Tavin sitting in his Anywhere Chair. He is such a big kid now I love it

Tavin never sleeps with me and never has, but after his 1 year shots he was not feeling so well. He fell asleep on me and I had to take advantage of it. He is growing so fast. I love moments like these.

At the pediatricians, he is 22 pounds and 31 inches. 83% for height and 50% for weight.

Yucky

Tavin walked over to our Tomato plants and picked a green tomato.

He took a huge bite

And did not love it.

I had to tell daddy even though I know its a waste of a great tomato. I just thought it was so smart of Tavin to pick one and know he could eat it.

Busy Weekend

We had Marshall's Birthday party. Marshall is Tavin's best friend.

Then we had a baby welcoming party.

I love this boy, He is the sweetest guy in the whole world. He will now walk up to me and just kiss me. He also puts food in his mouth and says yummmmm.

Pumpkin Patch

We went and got our Pumpkins!!! We will be carving them on Friday.

Tavin had a blast, he made a new friend.

Tavin had an amazing birthday bash. We had 30 people over at our house on a beautiful sunny San Diego afternoon. Tavin was not feeling his best but the party was awesome. We did BBQ and had tons of food, beer, wine, juice boxes and anything you could want.

My boss made this Cake. I could not find a bakery to do what I wanted so she did it. It was amazing. It was banana and chocolate:) For monkey theme.

The kids had tons of crafts to choose from, here is one of them.

There party bags were full of monkey goodness to take home.

We had all the party favors lined up in the back, monkeys and balloons, the rest of my house was full of food.

I had no idea how much work it is to throw a party. I will be waiting a few more years before Tavin has another big bash. Everyone raved about how much fun they had and that was what it was all about.
